Martin Collings is an Australian currently based in Chicago and working for Amadeus IT Group as Head of Airline eCommerce Sales, The Americas.

Having worked in a variety of mainly eCommerce related job functions for Amadeus since 2005, it was one of his prior roles based in Madrid that inspired him to begin writing this blog. Leading the product known as Direct Channel Automation (formerly known as Airline Robotics) this role covered global sales responsibility, as well as co-ordinating and prioritizing product enhancement requests from new and prospective airline customers. Amadeus Direct Channel Automation (DCA) is a suite of tools designed to lower cost by reducing manual work in both the internet sales area and the airline call centre back office. Once in place, the highly customisable DCA platform can be used by airlines to support cost effective innovation via targeted marketing of ancillary revenue offers, offline payment of online PNRs, fraud prevention, and a wide range of other innovative initiatives.
